Press conference in Cracow

At the headquarters of the Metropolitan Curia in Cracow was held a press conference, attended by Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, Director of the Museum of Coins and Medals of John Paul II, Krzysztof Witkowski and the President of the Papal Mint Arthur Sobolewski.

At a meeting with journalists they presented the coin Ioannes Paulus II Maximus. The conference was held in the hall  of the Bishop's representative Palaceat at the famous papal window. The Archbishop of Cracow blessed and launched a countdown clock for the canonization of John Paul II, which is a gift from the company President Electronics Poland. The meeting was attended by journalists from leading public and commercial stations and representatives of Catholic media.

The coin Ioannes Paulus II  Maximus with the number "1" (of 99 minted copies) can be seen in our museum in Czestochowa. The coin with the number "0" is reserved for the Pope Francis. It will be given to him during the World Youth Days in 2016 in Cracow.

Stanislaw Cardinal Dziwisz donated to our museum gift - his skulp cap and biretta. They will be soon seen in our collections.
