"With John Paul II to the future" - 18th July 2013

On Thursday, July 18 we held in our museum a meeting under the motto: "With John Paul to the future," which was led by the famous Polish numismatist, Mr. Bernard Marek Adamowicz, a collector from Legnica, the owner of the beautiful medals with Pope John Paul II.

"John Paul II. Medals. And what's next ... "- this is the theme that prevailed during the meeting.

Mr. Adamowicz in his speech recalled personal memories associated with the person of Karol Wojtyla, starting from 1974, when it attentively listened to the sermons of Cardinal Wojtyla at the funeral of Archbishop Boleslaw Kominek. Even then, we could have seen His great wisdom, peace and internal arrangement.  In this respect, so many antique coins and medals with John Paul IIwere created commemorating the events of the pontificate often quoting the words spoken by the Pope.

"And then what ...?" At this point, our speaker has a reflection on the legacy of the Pope's message to the faithful and all people of good will, whether we draw today with the teaching of John Paul II, and if we remember him? Pope's message was that we change for good and to focus our eyes on Christ being built in our transformation. Mr. Bernard Marek Adamowicz found in conclusion that the person of John Paul II strongly influenced his life and caused a lot of changes for good.

In the  artistic part of the evening occurred: Gypsy Swing Quartet with the participation of the group leader, violinist Sergey Wowkotrub.
